ACCOMMODATION: 102 rooms offer spectacular views onto the piazza, cloisters or internal garden. The spectacular 120 m2 Presidential Suite provides the ultimate in luxury, with unique late-18th Century frescoes adorning the ceilings. Two-floor family suites sleep up to 6 people and are equipped with a VCR, cartoons, drawing pads and crayons. There are rooms specifically designed for the female traveller with jacuzzi, bathrobe, cosmetics and magazines.

FACILITIES: The surroundings seem to be particularly suitable for evening tones: serious and formal for a gala dinner or cosy and welcoming. One room is rectangular and one of its longer sides looks out onto an internal garden, through an enormous window. The floor, in black and white squares designed by Scarpa is of such beauty that it has overcome the limits imposed by the style of the sixties.

The other smaller room looks out onto the internal garden through an unusual rhomboidal window, also by Scarpa. On the walls there are photographic reproductions of unusual glimpses of the Florentine area in striking black and white. The chairs are wooden and the seats are made of strips of woven leather.

» Swimming Pool. It is situated on the fifth floor, on a splendid panoramic terrace and besides guaranteeing refuge from the heat and a wonderful tan, it offers our guests a unique view - a visual dive of 360 degrees onto the Church of Santa Maria Novella, the Cathedral, Giotto’s Tower, Palazzo Vecchio, Fiesole and Piazzale Michelangelo. It is open during the summer months and supplies a bar and catering service.

MEETINGS: The seven meetings rooms have natural sunlight, are very comfortable and made unique by both art pieces and design furniture appositely designed by Carlo Scarpa and Edoardo Detti. A specialist from our staff will be glad to assist you in the whole organization. The standard equipment included in the price of the rent is: an overhead projector, a flip board and sound amplification. On request, it is possible to install simultaneous translation equipment, a slide projector, a videorecorder, a maxi screen, monitor, photocopier and telefax. A secretarial service and technical assistance is also available.
