| The Central Hotel already stood on this site in 1870. The present building, which dates from 1915, is the second edifice in Hannover to be built with a steel construction. Severely damaged during an air raid in 1943, the hotel was soon rebuilt and initially provided quarters for Allied troops. Hotel operations recommenced in early 1950s.

After the hotel was taken over by Franziska and Wilhelm Rüter in 1968, it was thoroughly renovated and refurbished over several years' time. Now, under the direction of Birgitt and Hermann Rüter, the second generation of the owner family has again redesigned the hotel and its dining facilities, thus paving the way for our continued success in the new millennium.
ACCOMMODATION: Our hotel offers more than 80 completely renovated rooms and suites equipped with ultramodern communications technology like ISDN telephones, modem connections, international satellite TV and pay TV, as well as mini-bars and safes.
The rooms are very tastefully furnished with plenty of attention to details. Luxurious French Treca beds ensure that your sleep will be comfortable and refreshing. Soundproof windows guarantee that your room will be absolutely quiet all night long.
Each elegant bathroom has a shower/tub, toilet, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, cosmetic box, and top-quality natural stone wash-stand. |
HOTEL FACILITIES & SERVICES: Our "Brunnenhof" restaurant likewise shines with a new gleam. Warm colors, brightly rustic and elegant furnishings guarantee a pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant's name means "fountain court," and that's a particularly appropriate appellation for a restaurant whose inner courtyard is enlivened by a small fountain that's kept stocked year-round with plump trout which, of course, we serve freshly caught.
Our beer garden is open during the warmer months. Here you'll find pleasant shady trees and a lovely view of the fountains in nearby Ernst-August Square.
Our separate club room offers a charming, southern German atmosphere that's perfect for smaller, more intimate parties or special events.
