Brunei offers a wide range of sports and recreational opportunities. Among these include golf, bowling, squash, tennis, swimming, badminton, snooker, windsurfing, soccer, arobic and traditional sporting activities such as gasing and kite-flying. Brunei already has a number of first - class golf courses, including one floodlit course for golf in the cool of the evenings. Full facilities are also available for a wide range of other sporting activities including diving, sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing and snorkeling, as well as other sporting activities at the National Sports Complex. Stadium has excellent facilities such In Bandar Seri Begawan, the Hassanal Bolkiah National as athletic field and track, football stadium, tennis courts, squash courts, jogging tracks and swimming pool.

Golf. Golf enthusiast will surely love Brunei's many golf courses. There are more than five beautiful golf courses in the country although some are only open to members. Still this doesn't mean mean that the golfer cannot have a swing at all the better ones as there are travel agents that arrange for inbound golf tours

Bowling. The Utama Bowling Alley is located on Jalan Tutong near Soon Lee Megamart in Bandar Seri Begawan. It opens daily from 9am to 11pm. Charges per game are B$4 on weekdays and B$5 on weekends.

Badminton. One of the nation's most popular pastimes, badminton is a highly attended sporting event in Brunei. Courts are available at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, the Youth Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan and at Mumong Sports Complex at Kuala Belait. A nominal entry fee is charged.

Horse Riding. Riding lessons are available at Trijaya Equestrian Park in Jerudong. The Park caters for all levels and ages from five onwards and is located about twenty minutes drive from the capital. Open to members only.

Tennis. For tennis fans, the courts available at the Youth and Welfare Complex on Jalan Berakas and the Brunei Tennis Centre offer a choice of clay, synthetic grass and cement playing surfaces.

Swimming. Dive into the public swimming pools at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Bandar Seri Begawan, and at the Mumong Sports Complex in Kuala Belait. A nominal fee is charged.

Squash. For a moderate fee, squash courts are available for hire at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium. Open daily except Friday and Sunday. Bookings can be made at the Stadium.

Aquasports. With its warm waters, moderate breezes, sunny skies and uncluttered waterways, Brunei provides the perfect setting for myriad of aquasports and boating related activities.

Kayaks and windsurfing equipment can be hired at an hourly rate from the Royal Brunei National Windsurfing Association located at Serasa Beach.

Boating trips through the mangrove swamps around Brunei Bay can be arranged via travel agents. Yachting and diving equipment and expeditions can also be organised, affording visitors the opportunity to explore the old wrecks and exquisite coral reefs in Brunei's offshore waters.

The Empire Hotel and Country Club Bowling Lane. An 8-lane 10-pin bowling centre provides challenging hours of fun and entertainment. Bowls and shoes are available with scores being kept by modern computerised systems. Operating hours: 10:00am to 10:00 pm daily. Price: B$5 per game per person.
